The Thin Red Line
As the Wolfhound Regiment ends out it's first
century of service to this great country of ours, it is of particular note that some of
it's history is coming to the forefront of America. James Jones gathered much of his
background for the novel "The Thin Red Line" while serving as a company clerk in
2nd Battalion. One of his other novels "From Here to Eternity" also made it to
the big screen. The Movie version of his novel has opened nationwide recently.
Since it is a direct reference on the Wolfhounds and C Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th
Infantry to be specific, what is your opinion?
World War II veterans who were on Guadalcanal,
your insights into the movie are particularly important. Please take a moment,
reflect, and send in your thoughts.
