"Three Stripes in the Sun" was made by Columbia Pictures in 1955. This movie is based on the true story of Hugh O'Reilly and how the long relationship between the 27th US Infantry Regiment "Wolfhounds" and the Holy Family Home orphanage in Osaka, Japan began. There is an original script to the movie on display in the regimental museum.
