Los Angles, California

All Threats, foreign and domestic.....Wolfhounds were deployed to the Watts and later, Huntington Park sections of the city after an initial staging at El Toro Marine Air Station to help quell civil unrest following the Rodney King verdict.

President Bush speaking following the violent LA riots

8 May 1992, Then-President George Bush (along with then-Governor Pete Wilson and then-Mayor Tom Bradley) came out to thank us for our efforts. A stage was set up in front of the stairs leading up to the Los Angeles Coliseum (home to the "LA" Raiders).

The two-star to the right of President Bush is Major General Marvin Covault - Commander of the 7th I.D. (Light) and the guy who was given global command of "Joint Task Force Los Angeles" - which included US Marine and California National Guard contingents.
